DELTA  RESOURCES

Stroke Recovery Association of BC

Our partner in service, SRABC is the go-to resource for BC stroke recovery information.  Videos, downloadable handbooks, community groups, workshops, and much more.

Family Caregivers of BC

Caregivers are encouraged to call the toll-free line weekdays from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM for emotional support or for help with any care-giver related topics.

South Delta Caregivers Education & Support Network

This group offers education and support to family caregivers of adults.  They also hold two 6-week classes each year on topics like caregiver stress, communication techniques, role and lifestyle changes, accessing and using community resources, and legal and financial issues.

HandyDART

HandyDART is a door-to-door, shared ride service for passengers with physical or cognitive disabilities who are unable to use conventional public transit without assistance. The driver will come to your home, help you board on the vehicle, and get you to the door of your destination safely.

Delta Seniors Bus

The Delta Seniors Bus program is a free transportation service for seniors 65+ living in Delta. The bus makes curbside stops to pick up and drop off seniors who have booked the service. It offers easy access to local medical services, recreation centres, shopping locations and other community amenities within Delta. 

Deltassist

Deltassist Family and Community Services Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the well being of the people of Delta.  They offer counselling and community-building in the form of workshops, events, senior support, outreach programs, and information services.

 

Other Delta Assistance Organizations

(Info found mid-way down and at the end the page)  The city of Delta provides an overview of the Delta community and identifies the agencies, government departments and organizations that contribute to the well-being of Delta citizens. In addition, there is a list of Delta’s social agencies (over 130) which provide services to the Delta community.
